JM Variable Speed Fluid Couplings (Hydrodynamic Couplings) are precision-engineered power transmission devices that enable stepless speed regulation of driven equipment while maintaining constant motor RPM. 

Designed for pump, fan, and compressor applications, our couplings deliver smooth torque transmission, overload protection, and energy savings up to 30% compared to throttle control.


Core Technology & Working Principle


· Hydrodynamic Power Transfer

Working Chamber: Oil circulates between pump wheel (input) and turbine wheel (output)

Speed Control: Adjusting oil fill level (0–100%) via scoop tube mechanism

Torque Conversion: Fluid momentum creates smooth acceleration.


· Precision Speed Regulation

Centrifugal Pumps/Fans: 1:4 speed reduction

Reciprocating Machinery: 1:3 speed reduction

Response Time: <5 seconds for full-range adjustment
