The structure of this speed-regulating coupling mainly consists of five parts:

Working Principle of Variable Speed Couplings


The working chamber of YOTc series variable speed fluid couplings is filled with a certain amount of working fluid (usually No. 32 turbine oil). The driving component of the rotating part in the variable speed hydraulic coupling is connected to the motor. After the pump impeller of the adjustable speed coupling obtains mechanical energy from the motor,By using the blades on it, the working fluid undergoes relative and associative motion, converting mechanical energy into liquid energy, which then drives the turbine of the speed-regulating coupling to rotate. The turbine of the variable speed coupling is connected to the working machine through the output shaft, converting liquid energy back into mechanical energy to drive the working machine, thus realizing energy transmission from the prime mover to the working machine via the variable fluid coupling.

Variable speed hydraulic couplings can improve the starting capacity of squirrel-cage motors, utilizing the motor's peak torque as the starting torque to avoid the unreasonable "big horse pulling a small cart" matching phenomenon.
